Frequently Asked Questions

These are some of the most common questions we get about the business side of Daly Certified.

How can I trust that Daly Certified is unbiased? Aren’t you getting money from these companies like any other influencer?

That’s exactly what we are trying to get away from. The entire supplement space is flooded with marketing, affiliate links, and people getting paid to say something’s “the best” without ever checking what’s actually in it.

Daly Certified is different. Products don’t get “approved” because someone pays for it — they earn it by meeting clear, published standards. Every supplement we review has to:

  1. Be third-party tested for purity and quality

  2. Use bioavailable forms of nutrients

  3. Have transparent Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) available

  4. Meet effective, evidence-based dosages

If a company ever does sponsor content or request a review of their product, it’s disclosed publicly — and sponsorship has zero influence on certification. The standards don’t bend for anyone.

And look — it does us no good to recommend a bum product. If something doesn’t work, you’re not going to trust us again. This whole thing started because we were already helping friends and family sort through the BS and figure out what was actually worth taking. Daly Certified just takes that same approach and scales it — think of us as your friend who actually understands supplements and helps you navigate the industry without all the marketing.

That said, in order to keep this site running, we do have to earn money somehow. Maintaining a website, researching, and testing all cost real time and resources. So if you see affiliate links or small commissions from certain products, know that’s just how we cover costs — not how we make decisions. It was honestly the only way we could fund this project without selling out, being fully sponsored, or compromising the integrity of what we’re trying to do.

How and why do you, as a registered nurse, feel qualified to talk about supplementation?

I’m not an MD, pharmacist, or biochemist — and that’s exactly why my perspective is different. Physicians are trained to treat disease, pharmacists to manage medications, and biochemists to study mechanisms. My background as a registered nurse, with a degree in exercise physiology and minors in nutrition and cardiovascular physiology, sits right at the intersection of all three.

Beyond that, I completed additional coursework in biology, microbiology, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and genetics — subjects that go far beyond the standard nursing curriculum. That deeper scientific foundation helps me connect how nutrients function at the cellular level with how people actually respond in clinical settings.

One of my core responsibilities has been to review patients, assess how sick they are, and evaluate which interventions — medications, supplements, nutrition, or lifestyle changes — are truly effective. After reviewing tens of thousands of patient charts, I’ve seen firsthand how the body responds to these factors over time.

Medications absolutely have their place, but they’re often just a band-aid, not a solution. Ironically, some of the most effective “medications” used in hospitals are actually nutrient-based or amino acid–derived — magnesium, electrolytes, iron, B vitamins, vitamin C, glutathione, NAC, and others. These are the same foundational compounds that drive real recovery and long-term health.

Here’s the truth: the supplement industry is rife with hype, half-truths, and dishonesty. Labels that don’t match the bottle. Ingredients that are cheap, ineffective, or barely therapeutic. Marketing claims designed to sell, not to help. I got sick of it and I refuse to play that game.

Every supplement we recommend meets four strict, evidence-based pillars:

  1. Purity – verified third-party testing ensures what’s on the label is actually in the bottle.

  2. Bioavailability – your body can absorb and use it. No guessing.

  3. Transparency – full disclosure on sourcing, testing, and ingredients.

  4. Therapeutic Dosing – dosed to actually work, not just fill a capsule.

These aren’t opinions. They’re grounded in science, physiology, clinical evidence, and practical experience. I evaluate everything objectively — without bias, without marketing influence, without selling you anything you don’t need. In fact, a good portion of the products I recommend I don’t even get any kickback

You don’t need a PhD or an MD to know what works. You need clarity, integrity, and someone who is insanely Type A that has serious trust issues. That’s what Daly Certified delivers. No trends. No shortcuts. Just the truth — and supplements you can actually trust.

Are consultations free? Why and how are they free? How do they work?

Yes! Our consultations are 100% free. We do this because we genuinely want to help people cut through the confusion and find supplements that actually work. We don’t charge for our time — we know supplements can already be pricey, and we’d rather you spend your money on the right products, not on another consultation fee. That being said, we do get very busy with requests so please be patient, we promise we will get back to you! You don’t schedule an appointment, it’s quite literally just messaging back and forth. If you have a really complex situation going on we may need a phone call, but 95% of the time it can all be handled through some simple messaging.

What if I think a specific product is better than what you have recommended?

You’re more than welcome to submit it for us to review — and if it truly stacks up better than what we currently recommend, we’d be more than happy to take a closer look and maybe even feature it!

Just keep in mind, we consider a lot of different factors — things like bioavailability, therapeutic dosages, brand reputation, whether we’ve personally vetted and emailed the company, and of course, pricing. So don’t take it personally if we still think our current pick edges it out. There are thousands of products out there, and we’ve done our best to find the top options — but we’ll be the first to admit we’re not perfect. We’re always open to learning and improving.

What if I think a specific brand should be featured more, but isn’t?

If you think a brand deserves more attention, we’re all ears! We love hearing about products/brands people are excited about. Just keep in mind that we review brands based on multiple factors — bioavailability, therapeutic dosages, pricing, and a super simple email asking for a few things to verify such as COAs. Sometimes even if a brand isn’t featured as much, it doesn’t necessarily mean we don’t like it — sometimes it just hasn’t hit all the criteria yet. We’re always open to learning about great products/brands and updating our recommendations when something truly stands out.

Why do I see the same brands over and over again?

You might notice that we feature certain brands more often than others. There’s a reason for that.

We personally reached out to hundreds of supplement companies and asked them all the same straightforward questions:

  • Are your supplements tested both in-house and through independent third-party laboratories?

  • Do you test every batch for identity, purity, potency, and contaminants (including heavy metals and microbiological safety)?

  • Are Certificates of Analysis (COAs) publicly available or available by request?

  • If so, could you please share your most recent COAs for a few randomly selected products?

  • How do you ensure consistency in testing standards across large-scale production?

Most companies either failed to provide transparent answers or refused to share documentation altogether. Because of that, in many cases, the decision on which products to recommend was actually quite easy.

When there was a genuine “tie” between products that met our standards, we went with the more affordable option—because that’s how we personally shop. Why pay more for something that does the exact same thing? On the flip side, while there are cheaper supplements out there, those often lack credibility, transparency, or bioavailable ingredient forms.

That’s why you’ll frequently see brands like Seeking Health, Designs for Health, Pure Encapsulations, Rho Nutrition, and Thorne (mainly due to product formulation superiority, not complete transparency) throughout our recommendations. These companies consistently demonstrated exceptional testing practices, ingredient quality, and transparency.

And to be clear—we didn’t just rely on Fullscript or any one source. We scoured the entire internet and verified each product individually to ensure it truly represents the best option available.
